I like all the traffic types coming in; in order to get that traffic on a couple of sources I have to jump through a few hoops. Big deal. So long as the requirements cost less than the expected revenue from ranking, I’ll meet the requirements.

Just When You Think Search Misconceptions Can’t Get Any Worse…

A while back I talked about the frustrations of explaining my line of work to my relatives, but I’m starting to think that maybe ignorance truly is bliss. I recently heard two examples of non-search people’s perceptions about how the search engines work, and it is frustrating to think that some people believethat this is actually how the search industry operates.

Google Trends thinks I am virus or spyware

Google Trends purred out this nasty message when I was trying it out with whatever keyword popped in my mind. Its funny to see how google trends fails to figure out simple thing like real user vs automated request.
