SEO Industry Survey Results Released

We’ve been working pretty hard on pulling together the numbers from 3000+ responses to the SEO Industry Survey, graphing the results, and writing up some thoughts in an article on the SEO Industry Survey.  We also picked a winner for the iPhone and will be contacting this person privately to notify him or her.  Being the new guy at SEOmoz, the gang thought it would be a good idea for me to pull myself out of the networking closet and introduce myself while I introduce the results of the survey.

SEOMoz - your survey application is broken

I generally avoid taking any surveys and I should have really stuck to that, but somehow email from SEOMoz (or chance of winning iphone?) today convinced me to take their so called ‘SEO Industry Survey’. So what follows is complete waste of time - the survey has around 51 question and when I am through to 35th - SEOMoz survey application breaks apart and kept me showing ‘Recording your answer - please be patient’ message for more than 20 minutes now - effectively wasting all the time taken to reach upto 35 questions.

Problems with Web Survey Design & An Example from the SEJournal Blog Awards

I love SearchEngineJournal’s Annual Awards. I think it’s terrific that even a small community like search marketing can have its own mini-version of the Oscars each year :) It’s fun, it builds friendly competition, and it inspires those of us who compete to work harder and earn our keep.
