After my post last night and the many follow ups from around the SEO sphere, I (along with most observers from the world of search) strongly anticipated clarifying statements from Google’s representatives at the SMX Advanced conference. We’re big fans of using ‘nofollow’ for linkjuice sculpting around your site. If you know what you’re doing, you’re careful, and you’re considerate, it’s an incredibly powerful strategy that can have a big payoff. But what if you make a mistake? If you don’t pay attention, or you go about it willy-nilly, site-sculpting with ‘nofollow’ can cause some major problems…and that’s what we’re looking at in this week’s Whiteboard Friday.
